monday color - fresh

here it is - a new time of year with a fresh set of adventures.
for teachers, summer is the time to recover, learn, and focus more on our families.
school is so very intense, with working weekends, late night grading, and evening school functions.  we need summer.
yet i'm already working and organizing for next year,
because being a teacher is a calling, not a job.

how do you keep fresh in your career?

  1. Noreen, I've had a terrible working winter. Not the work as much, although there was too much of that, but the conditions became unbearable. A drain on my soul and therefore on my family. It looks as if the decision not to repeat this project has been made for me, and I felt mostly relief (a little fear, of the unknown, but that's normal, I guess!). I'm recharging this summer and hoping for a brighter year ahead. Enjoy your long and lazy days, my friend.

  2. As a SAHM, I'm technically not in a career right now. ;) Or, maybe I should say that this is my career right now and, in that case, I do like to read parenting books to stay inspired and learn a trick, or two. I also really enjoy reading self-help books and biographies about inspiring people. Happy summer, Noreen! Enjoy, relax, repeat.

  3. I love the way you view teaching as your calling not your job. Such a beautiful way to live. And the childeren's lives you touch are so lucky xxx
